Letter to my little one...38 weeks

Dear Sienna,

To say that your Daddy & I are excited to meet you would be a complete understatement.  We find ourselves laying in bed at night asking each other questions about you - when will you come meet us - who will you look like - what will it be like to see you and hold you for the first time - the list goes on and on. We laugh at how we think you're gonna have a full head of hair like your Daddy. Your Grandma wants your name to be Ava or Julia, I wish I could ask you what you think about those but I think Sienna is the most beautiful name and it will be perfect for you. You have a cousin who is dying to meet you, I think the two of you will become the best of friends, she hugs and kisses my belly all the time and says "I love you baby cousin" The other day she said to me " Sofia will be so happy when baby Neni is here" yes, she calls you Neni and I started to call you that too..I think its adorable.  You have the absolute best Daddy any little girl could ever dream of, he is so completely & utterly in love with you, imagine what he'll be like when he actually meets you.

I hope you will read this one day and see just how loved you are.

Last weekend of February..

Everyday we say to ourselves  "hmm could today be the day shes born?"

I wish I knew exactly when shes going to decide to come meet us, but since there is no way of knowing we have been enjoying our time together as a couple, things are about to change big time!

This weekend, we went to this awesome sushi joint in Phoenix near Dans office called
"How do you roll?" its like the subway of sushi, you pick what you want & they roll it for ya right there..it was delicious!!

The area where this restaurant is located was absolutely gorgeous, some of the most amazing neighborhoods & homes I've ever seen, we kept saying how we're going to make a goal to buy our next home there, since the weather was beautiful..everyone was outside on their porch, playing with their kids, gardening..ect. It was the perfect little neighborhood.

One sweet lady came up to me and asked about my pregnancy & offered us some of her homegrown lemons as she had a surplus, we took a bunch since our lemon tree is still a baby and only has about 6 lemons right now...nothing like homegrown! they smell amazing.

Another man who was gardening, gave us a brief history of the town & offered us some water as he told us to enjoy our walk...seriously, I cant believe how friendly & kind these people were

Sure as hell wouldn't meet people like this in NY.

38 week bumpdate!

I hope she has Daddys eyes!

watermelon? sounds about right - my stomach screams watermelon, or basketball!
yet, I'm really gonna miss it!

Call me crazy but I don't even like saying "February" I was really hoping she wouldn't be born this month, especially on the 29th... and now that silly subway commercial " Feb-rue-any" is  stuck in my head. I don't want to relate my child's birth to a sandwich shop

starting weight 92lbs...current at 38 weeks...128
ouch!! I think I need to invest in a jogging stroller

Doctor said her head is very low & shes pretty much ready! weighing approx 6lbs 10oz
we're ready when you are baby girl!

How I picture our little girl...

 Just daydreaming away....

I think she'll have.....
Big brown eyes like her momma
long long eye lashes like her daddy
little button nose & teeny lips
& lots of hair!

I think she'll be born...
close to her due date,
I'm going to guess March 10th
She wont be too big, since my belly isn't as huge as I expected
I'll say she'll be around 6lbs 7oz & 19" long

I think she'll be....
a complete Daddys girl
Sassy little personality
BFFs with her cousin Sofia

37 weeks!!!

Sunday, 2/19/12

How Far Along?  FULL TERM! 37 weeks...she could be here any day now! :) though I rather her stay in there a couple of more weeks so I can be assured shes healthy & perfect! at my 36 week appt the Midwife estimated her to be a little over 5lbs
Maternity Clothes?  not one thing surprisingly, never thought Id be sporting non-preggo clothes this late in my pregnancy..but hey, better for my wallet...maternity clothes are pricey!
Weight Gain? 33 pounds - ouch!
Stretch Marks? I check everyday - still nothing! THANK YOU LORD
Sleep? whats that? heres my routine...down to sleep at 10PM the latest/5 pillows to get comfortable/up for bathroom/ down again/ up to switch position/ down again/ up for bathroom/etc...catch the drift?
Food Cravings? cereal..especially the sugary kinds! cinnamon toast crunch, frosted flakes
What I Miss? having energy, my Independence... its getting tough to put on shoes, bend down to pick something up...I hate asking Danny for help every 5 seconds...I cant vacuum, clean the bathrooms, lift the laundry basket...etc..Hubby has been wonderful with taking over those duties. ( Thanks babe)
Symptoms?  get this...we're in the middle of the supermarket & I get a pain in my back... definitely my siatic nerve...this pain had me bent over in the middle of the aisle with Hubs rubbing my back. I didn't care who was looking at us funny. IT HURT!
Best Moment of the Week? washing her clothes & picturing her in them

Valentines Day

Somebody asked me what Hubby & I did for Valentines Day, well...we didn't do anything different then what we do on any other day of the year.

To be honest, I don't care for it...Its cute when you're in High School but now I find it kinda corny, no I didn't get flowers, candy or a teddy bear...& I was more then happy with that.

My sweet husband said he didn't want to get me flowers because a made up holiday says he should, he likes to get them just because & that's when they mean more... and that's exactly what I think too. Those random little gifts & reminders of love are best when they're not expected.

Our evening consisted of cooking together as we always do, having dessert under a blanket on the couch while watching "Everybody Loves Raymond" & feeling our baby kick up a storm :)

We did exchange cards though!

isn't that the truth?

Here's another quote that came to mind...

" Find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood,  Bad mood, ugly, pretty...handsome...what have you. The right person will still think the sun shines out of your ass, that's the kind of person worth sticking with. " - Juno

Danny knows the ins & outs of me, what makes me tick, what makes me happy, what makes me sad & how to make me smile...but most importantly of all he loves me unconditionally, and that's what real love is all about.
