Olivias visit!

This past week my oldest niece was visiting from NY, last time I saw her was in November at my baby shower - missed her so much! we took her everywhere we could to make sure she had a blast. She was so sweet with Sienna and I'm so glad they finally got to meet.


here is a little bit of what the week looked like :)

we went to jumpstreet - I felt like I was a kid again

We spent a lot of time in the pool

taking a good picture of the 3 of them was tough as you can see

we made some ice cream

she was glued to me 24/7

weekend 6/29-7/1

This weekend was full of friends, those are the best kind :)

We hardly spent any time at home, so Monday was a busy day for me catching up on housework....tomorrow my oldest niece is flying in & staying with us for a week - I'm so excited! I feel like she grew up overnight and I missed it living so far away.

1. got together with friends

2.put together some headband orders

3.got a pedi

and that's how our weekend flew by.

Yesterday 1 year ago we found out we were going to be parents :)

Today I was looking up ideas for Sienna's 1st birthday party, yes I know I still have a ton of time for that... but how do I throw a party perfect enough for someone who lights up my world in every way possible? yeah that's a lot of pressure - so let the planning begin. I'll tell you this much....there will be no owls or tutus involved.

paranoia

I'm not usually a paranoid person, but lately I think I have a case of self proclaimed Mommy paranoia 


For instance the other night I heard a noise downstairs...or thought I did. I quickly woke up Dan..(poor guy has to be up at 5:30) and started freaking out...half asleep he mumbled that it was nothing and just the AC, but nope that want a good enough answer for me 


me: "but babe I'm scared, go check" ....he thinks I'm nuts 


So I start creeping around my house waiting for the bad guy to pop out(I realize as Im typing this I sound so riciclous lol)  I check downstairs and out the windows...of course NOTHING, complete stillness.. but there I was tip toe-ing around my house at 2AM like a fool


This happens when I'm in the shower too - I always seem to imagine noises that are probably just the water in the pipes and I freak myself out.


I don't know how I'm ever going to have Sienna sleep in her room - I'll take it much harder than she will that's for sure


what can I say, I'm one paranoid Mama-bear who has officially lost it.

weekend in review 6/22-6/24

Here is what we did this past weekend :)

Sienna's 2nd time ever in the pool  

she still loves it as much as the first time

Planted some flowers

Princess Sienna's favorite place to nap is our bed

baked pancake - so yummy

Danny made some planting boxes for our herb garden

Sofia loves to water all the fruit trees and pointing out whats growing on each one

as parents we hope to...

read to her as much as we can & surround her with books

travel as a family and take her everywhere we go


Make all organic food for her


take road trips and go exploring

teach her about her roots

teach her Polish & take her to Poland one day


Eat dinners together at the table as a family

laugh at ourselves and savor the silly & goofy moments


do arts & crafts with her...built her imagination


teach her to love animals

spent time outside, show her how things grow


learn to be more patient ( this one is for all of us)

and most importantly...

Show her what love and respect looks like

Parenting is a hard job, hardest we'll ever have...but I think we made a pretty darn good team together, especially considering our families aren't around to help and its just the two of us here.

I think my favorite thing in the entire world is Sienna's laugh,

 especially when its paired with seeing her little gums

Sofia & Daddy are the masters of making her laugh
