Christmas in NY

Despite our rough return home (post about that coming soon), I'm so very glad we decided to be brave fly home for Christmas this year...holiday travel is no joke especially with a snowstorm, toddler, pregnancy and crowds in the mix.

For now, lets talk about Christmas Eve.

The familiar smell of my moms traditional Christmas cooking invaded the house, just like I remembered every year growing up. Polish Christmas music was blasting and we all sang along throughout the day. Sienna patiently waited for Santa, peaking in the window every so often as we told her that he was coming when she woke up.

Since Santa had to be with his family on Christmas, he came early in the day...pretty sure that was the highlight of Siennas day. I expected her to be a little frightened of him but she she was not scared at all...gave him hugs, kisses and said thank you for her gifts.

After dinner it began to snow! we quickly dressed Sienna and went outside to show her, it was barely enough to stick but she still loved it.

Being with my family was all I ever wanted and needed for Christmas, seeing Sienna loving on them was better than any present in the world.

I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking :)
